What happens in a first consultation with Dr. Dave?

A first consultation lasts 45 – 60 minutes. We listen to what you want to achieve, perform a clinical examination, take photographs, and for surgical cases conduct 3D imaging simulation. You leave with a clear written plan, transparent cost quote, and no obligation. Many patients consult more than once before deciding — that is welcome.

How do I know if I'm choosing the right plastic surgeon?

Confirm M.Ch in Plastic Surgery (the only recognised qualification in India), check membership of APSI and IAAPS, ask to see before-and-after work for your specific procedure, and notice whether the surgeon discusses risks honestly. If a clinic only sells benefits, walk away.

Do you offer video consultations for out-of-city patients?

Yes — we offer secure video consultations for patients from outside Ahmedabad, including international patients. A pre-consultation photo set is requested; surgical planning is finalised at an in-person visit before any procedure.

Where will my surgery be performed?

All surgical procedures are performed in accredited hospitals with JCI-grade operating theatres, consultant anaesthesia and full perioperative monitoring. Minor in-office procedures (injectables, small revisions under local) are performed in our clinic procedure room.

Will Dr. Dave personally perform my surgery?

Yes. Every surgical procedure booked with Dr. Aniket Dave is performed by Dr. Aniket Dave. We do not subcontract surgical work.

Is anaesthesia safe?

Modern anaesthesia administered by a consultant anaesthesiologist with full monitoring is extremely safe. Pre-operative screening (ECG, blood work, anaesthetic clearance) is mandatory for every surgical patient.

Can I have a relative with me before surgery?

Yes. Family can stay with you up to the operating theatre door and meet you immediately on transfer to your room post-op.

How do I reach the clinic after hours?

All surgical patients are given a direct WhatsApp number monitored by clinic staff 24/7 for the first 6 weeks of recovery. Urgent concerns reach Dr. Dave directly.

How often will I see Dr. Dave during recovery?

Typically: day 7 (suture check), week 3, week 6, month 3, month 6, month 12. Additional visits as needed. There is no charge for follow-up visits within the first year.

Yes — all major procedures include a private recovery suite. No shared rooms.

When can I exercise after surgery?

Procedure-dependent. Light walking starts within days for nearly every procedure. Returning to gym/cardio is typically 3 – 6 weeks. Detailed protocols are given in writing.

Yes — a transparent, all-inclusive written quote is given at consultation. The quote covers surgeon fees, anaesthesia, OT charges, implants/grafts, hospital stay and follow-up. No hidden costs added later.

Yes — we partner with major Indian medical loan providers offering 6 – 36 month EMI plans. We also accept all major credit cards, UPI and bank transfer.

Is plastic surgery covered by insurance?

Cosmetic surgery is generally not covered. Reconstructive surgery (post-trauma, post-cancer, post-burn, hand surgery, congenital conditions) and certain functional cases (breast reduction for documented macromastia, deviated septum) are often covered. We assist with insurance documentation.

What is your refund policy?

Deposits paid for scheduled surgery are refundable up to 14 days before the planned date. Within 14 days, deposits convert to credit usable for future scheduling. Full refunds are issued when surgery is cancelled on medical grounds at any stage.

What if I'm not the right candidate for the surgery I want?

We will tell you honestly. Declining unsuitable surgery is part of good practice. Where an alternative procedure or non-surgical option fits you better, we explain why.

How do you handle complications if they occur?

Every complication is owned, openly discussed, and addressed at our cost when it occurs in the post-operative period. We work with patients, not against them, when things don't go as planned.

Will my photos and case be kept confidential?

Photographs are taken for medical records, never shared without explicit written consent. Cases featured on the website or social media are only those for which the patient has signed a separate, specific consent form.

What if I change my mind after scheduling?

Surgery on a body you are not fully convinced about is never the right surgery. Cancellation is always possible — without judgment. Many patients cool off and return months later. That is welcome.

I am travelling from another city — how does it work?

We coordinate a streamlined pathway: a video pre-consultation, in-person evaluation and surgery, and hotel accommodation through our partner hotels at concessional rates. Most patients plan a 7 – 14 day stay depending on procedure.

Yes — we welcome international patients. We assist with medical visa documentation, airport transfer coordination and hotel partnerships. Procedures are quoted in INR with international transfer accepted.
